Enough of the "Doom and Gloom" is the latest line in some of the Media Editorials.
Virtually everybody has been through the survival mill of the last two years. It's time
for some optimism.
In response to many requests, it has been decided to revive the Annual IIFA Ball.
The event will take place on Saturday, 23rd October 2010 at the new Convention Centre in Dublin City. This will be a formal dress event with dinner, dancing and a bar extension. Tickets are €125 per person (tables of 10 can be arranged).

TIFFA-Thai International Freight Forwarders Association cordially extends an invitation to the;

The annual FIATA World Congress will be held in Bangkok, Thailand between the 4th - 8th of October 2010. Both national associations and private forwarding firms attend Regional Meetings and seminars in specialist areas at the Congress. There will also be exhibitions where forwarders will have the opportunity to network with contacts from around the world. Additionally there will also be planned social and excursion events to allow delegates time to enjoy local tourist opportunities.

The 2009 - 2010 FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding course commenced in October 2009 and is scheduled to finish in June 2010. We regret that late applications for the 2009 - 2010 course can no longer be considered.

| The IIFA, in conjunction with Marseille Gyptis International, held a presentation on a possible Cargo Community System for Ireland that would enable both private and public freight professionals in the logistics community to manage all import and export processes of goods. |

The presentation was made on Thursday 25th February 2010 in the Davenport Hotel, Dublin 2 to an audience of Freight Forwarding professionals as well as individuals from significant government departments.
