This month, IIFA received notice from CLECAT of a significant change impacting all EORI-registered Economic Operators from 1st February 2024 onwards. As of this date, those without a valid postcode in their EORI records will be unable to use the NCTS and/or AES systems. Consequently, initiating transit or AES based export procedures will be impossible with an EORI registration lacking a postcode.

All of the vehicles that supply fuel to aircraft at Dublin Airport will be powered by more environmentally friendly HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) after airport operator daa teamed up with logistics partner Exolum to carry out a refit of the fuel supply station at the airport fuel farm. The switch to HVO will mean 300,000 fewer litres of diesel will be used at Dublin Airport by the fleet of trucks that supply fuel to aircraft on the airfield.

Dublin Port Company has today reported trade figures for the first half of 2023. Volumes declined by 3.6% to end June as the war in Ukraine, global inflation and a slower than expected recovery in China from Covid-19 lockdown dampened international and domestic demand with the Central Statistics Office showing Ireland entering a technical recession in the early part of 2023.
