Jack Chambers, Minister of State with special responsibility for international and road transport and logistics, will today launch Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Week 2024, which runs this week until Saturday 2 March. The week of events will open this morning with an Ibec conference which will explore the crucial role that diversity and inclusion can play in future-proofing Ireland’s vital supply chain network.

The Spring Introduction to Freight Forwarding course, delivered by IIFA in association with Pearse College Dublin, will commence this week with two full class groups. Originally set only for Wednesday afternoons, demand for this popular course was high and a second sitting was organised. There will be separate Wednesday afternoon and Friday mornings sessions, totalling 31 Participants across both groups.

At the close of last month, on Saturday 30th September 2023, Graduates of the 2022 – 2023 IIFA FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding gathered in the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport to celebrate their success with the 2023 FIATA Diploma Graduation Ceremony.

The first national Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Week, organised by the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport, took place from 27 March to 1 April, consisting of a mix of in-person and online events. Irish International Freight Association worked with University of Limerick to deliver a webinar on the theme of Supply Chain for Career Changers, with three speakers approaching the topic from their own unique perspectives: Ana Lozovanu of Expeditors Ireland Ltd, Bruno Chistoni of Wells Cargo

A Graduation event was held this past Saturday 12th November 2022 at the IIFA Office for Graduates of the 2021 – 2022 IIFA FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. 40 Graduates successfully completed their studies and were awarded their Diplomas by IIFA President Terry Sweeney.
